Door Bloc was Invented in early January 2020 by Angel Arevalo. As a father of three kids, he wanted to solve the problem of his daughters constantly slamming their bedroom door while playing. After purchasing many devices intending to prevent finger and hand smashing injuries, he decided to develop a more effective product. The first few Door Bloc prototypes were created from a block of foam given to Angel by his father. After going through multiple prototypes, Angel finally designed one that worked effectively. In late November 2021 Angel partnered with good friend Oscar. Oscar had experience working with international manufacturers. Both dads worked endlessly for a year with the manufacturer in order to get the final product ready to be sold directly to consumers and retailers. As of March 2023, Door Bloc is ready to be in every home and is now an effective product that prevents finger pinching on both sides of the door. It is designed as a multipurpose device to help keep doors safely open.
